The palate continues to show a black fruit profile of macerated blackberries and black cherries that attack with deep layers and amazing deftness with a hint of soft violets. 2014 Becklyn Cellars Moulds Vineyard Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Nose of densely packed sweet blackberries and  boysenberries. multi-layered pure with an interesting saline quality. This gains intensity and gets darker with redolent black currants in the lead with spring flowers and violets.  Cassis driven, bold and pure, it xplodes on your palate. Balance is spot-on with complex tannins, perfect balance and a finish that is bold and very long and  true.

2013 Becklyn Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

A very refined nose of cool blackberries and dark currants. There is some pretty white flowers weaved into this as well. It is deft and pure and elegant and refined. It shows as textural and near-opulent and is deeply layered. Finish shows a redder/black fruit profile that goes long and true. While the inaugural 2012 brought more richness and opulence up front, the 2013 brings more refinement, purity and class now which tells me this might actually turn out…better and I could not even begin to fathom how that is even possible.

The firm toasty oak and hint of truffle gives this wine spectacular yet subtle depth. The silky tannins blend with the fruit to seamless perfection. The beginning sip starts with rich blackberry currant, vanilla, and espresso.  The wine enters a magical phase on the back of the tongue when you realize a hint of graphite, dark chocolate, leather, and fall spices. 2013 Becklyn Cellars McGah Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc

2013 was a perfect year to make a classically styled yet rich Sauvignon Blanc for Becklyn Cellars. A slightly less than normal crop on our Musque clone block produced a rich and powerful wine. The fruit was fermented in 40% new French oak and 60% Stainless steel which created elegant yet showy wine. Straw in color, aromas of Meyer Lemon, quince, honeysuckle and river rocks combine with waves of fruit and natural acidity. This combination is exactly what we were looking for to create this extraordinary lithe rendition of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Drink slightly chilled in the summer months or cellar it for a year to bring out the extra nuances packed in this wine.

2012 Becklyn Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

2012 was an exceptional beginning for the inaugural vintage of Becklyn Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This blend of 3 separate vineyards created a compelling wine which highlights what Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is all about. Dark ruby in the glass, scents of red and dark fruits, cassis, iron, spices and a slight minerality emanate from the glass. The mid palate is rich and pliant while still remaining elegant, allowing waves of fruit and finely framed dusty tannins to co-mingle in harmony. The finish is a mile long and carries the 75% new oak well, allowing the terroir to fully express itself. 2012 was a very rich vintage, so drink now or stash this one away for a year or two as it will age exceptionally. This wine will age nicely for 10-15 years.
